Here is a brief bio: My name is Babak Minovi. I was born on October 23, 1963 in Abadan, in Southwestern Iran. I have three beautiful daughters, Darya (2/22/92), Shiva (12/23/93) and Roya (7/27/03) and a cutie wife Sandee. We were married on May 5, 2001. Right now I live in Arlington, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. My parents live in Fuengirola, Spain and I have a brother (Maziar) and sister (Shokraneh) here in the area.
I'm the second guy from the left. We took this picture in August 1996 when we went on a 10 day trip around California and Nevada.
I'd have to say that I've had a pretty good time of it until now (knock on wood... did I say I'm superstitious?) and have had a chance to travel to 30 or so countries and actually lived in five of them (Iran, Italy, UK, Spain, US).
Along with all the good times, the revolution in Iran and my divorce have been the defining low points.
I became a naturalized US citizen on August 23, 2000 and volunteered in that year's elections as my first contribution as an American besides paying taxes. It wasn't in Palm Beach, but it was interesting anyway and here is a thing I wrote on the experience.
